What cell phone companies work in San Diego & Tijuana w. out charging extra?
I'm living in Tijuana but going to school in San Diego and i need a cell phone that doesn't charge me extra.

You should get a used Sprint/Nextel Powersource phone which will allow you to receive network only signal from Sprint throughout most of Tijuana. It will also allow you to use the push to talk wakie talkie network which most people in Tijuana now use. I recommend looking for a Nextel phone on craigslist and buying chip at the Sprint store. Newer Sprint,Verizon, etc. and Nextel phones will have their signals automatically cutoff and send you into international roaming as soon as you cross the border which is why I recommend the used Powersource phone
