What do EMT-basics in San Diego get paid, and what hours do they work?
What kind of hours do EMT basics in San Diego work (I.E. how long are the shifts. 24 on 48 off?) and what is the usual starting pay? Thanks!

Most with EMT-B certificates work on Ambulance companies. It will not pay very well, possibly $9-12 an hour. The hours will depend on the company you work for. There are 12, 24, and some pay by each call you go on. It's can be used as a gateway into firefighting/hospital careers which will pay substantially better.
