Post your resume on some websites like Monster. Try Craigslist for job postings and apartment listings. Go to San Diego's website to find out what newspapers are prevalent and subscribe to them.

post ur reseme on a site and wait for a job to come to u

Post your resume on job sites, but also research and locate potential businesses and companies that fit what you want to be doing, and start submitting resumes including details pertaining to why they would want an executive from NYC to work for them. If you do this, you'll almost definitely locate a job, and they might even offer to move you out to San Diego themselves.

Pack up your crap and move!

Why would you want to do that? TJ sucks. It is a cheap little border town with more than it's share of murders annually.

A friend of mine recently went to Tijuana and was robbed at gunpoint. They made him go to an ATM and literally emptied his bank account. Seriously...I wouldn't move there.

I work with a lot of people who do just that. You just live there and cross the border every morning. Problem is that unless you have a Sentry pass (not sure how you get that), it can take several hours to cross over because so many people do it every day. I think my co worker had to leave by 6:30 to get to work before 8:30 and we are only about 15 minutes from the border.
